Stand-by for Millennium Magic 2008 - six matches, one stadium, one hell of a weekend !
The City of Cardiff is gearing up for an entertainment extravaganza as the engage Super League returns to the Millennium Stadium as this year’s entertainment promises to be even better than ever.
Even before the fantastic programme of engage Super League matches gets underway you will be treated to an array of spectacular entertainment for the whole family.
The carnival atmosphere will greet you as you begin your journey toward the Millennium Stadium. Face painters, magicians, fire breathers, stilt walkers and musicians will line the streets of Cardiff to welcome you to the event.
This year’s ‘engage Fanzone’ is once again situated in the heart of Cardiff and will play host to musical performances as well as a range of interactive games and giveaways, making it a must visit attraction.
And of course keep an eye out for engage’s very own ‘Super Sid the Savings Pig’ who will once again be out and about amongst the fans!
Once inside the stadium a live house band will treat you to a musical festival to get you in that party spirit. The band will be accompanied by our professional dancers who will take to the field and perform a series of dazzling routines!
Then its time to turn up the temperature with the introduction of the hugely popular ‘Kiss Cam’ feature. Our roving cameras will be working their way around the stadium looking for love in this innovative new feature. So watch out for you and your loved one on the big screen and you could win one of the fantastic prizes up for grabs!
The weekend’s entertainment will also feature the inaugural ‘Mascot Games’ compared and hosted by none other than television legend Keith ‘Cheggers’ Chegwin.
Cheggers will oversee the action as the mascots are put through their paces throughout the weekend in a series of fun and daring challenges including the Space Hopper Challenge and the egg and giant spoon race, to name but a few!
This event promises to be a hilarious spectacle as the mascots battle it out for overall supremacy! Definitely one not to be missed!
