Leeds Rhinos will be without prop forward Ryan Bailey for Friday’s Engage Super League preliminary semi-final against Huddersfield Giants at the Galpharm Stadium because of suspension.

Bailey, who has missed only one of the Rhinos’ last 18 matches, was found guilty of raising his knees in a tackle by Hull FC second rower Danny Tickle during his side’s opening play-off win at Headingley on Sunday.

He was handed a one-match ban and a £300 fine by the Rugby Football League’s disciplinary committee.

France international prop David Ferriol has been ruled out of Catalan Dragons’ sudden-death tie at Wigan Warriors on Sunday after being given a one-match ban.

Ferriol was also fined £300 after being found guilty of leading into a tackle with his knees on Hull KR hooker Ben Fisher during his side’s opening play-off win in Perpignan last Saturday.

Hull KR loose forward Scott Murrell was given a £500 fine but avoided a ban after being found guilty of a dangerous tackle on Dragons forward Remi Casty in the same match.
