RFL lifts ban on John Stankevitch

6th September 2012
The RFL can confirm that John Stankevitch has agreed to pay the two outstanding fines imposed for his abuse of Rugby League match officials in Northern Rail Cup and Co-operative Championship One fixtures involving Rochdale Hornets.
An RFL Operational Rules Tribunal last month banned Stankevitch from all involvement in Rugby League matches or the business of Rugby League with member clubs after he refused to pay his fines. That ban has now been lifted.
Stankevitch was fined £1,000, £500 of which was suspended, after being found guilty of verbally abusing match officials and breaching the RFL’s Respect Policy in a Northern Rail Cup match against Keighley Cougars on February 26.
He was also ordered to pay a £250 fine which had been suspended for a similar offence in a Championship One fixture against London Skolars on July 4, 2010.
