Leeds Rhinos prop Kylie Leuluai and Huddersfield Giants forward Brett Ferres have both been charged with offences committed during the opening weekend of the Stobart Super League play-offs.
Leuluai has been charged with committing a Grade B punching offence on Wakefield Trinity Wildcats winger Peter Fox in the 79th minute of the elimination play-off at Headingley Carnegie Stadium on Saturday.
Leuluai has until 11.00am on Tuesday (September 18) to submit an Early Guilty Plea.
Ferres will appear before the RFL Disciplinary Panel on Tuesday to answer a charge of committing a Grade B dangerous throw on Hull FC’s Danny Houghton in the seventh minute of the elimination play-off at the KC Stadium on Sunday.
Both players were charged after the incidents were viewed by the RFL Match Review Panel, who also issued formal cautions to the following players:
- Peter Fox (Wakefield Trinity Wildcats) – punching in the 79th minute v Leeds Rhinos.
- Carl Ablett (Leeds Rhinos) – Punching in the 79th minute v Wakefield Trinity Wildcats.
In the Co-operative Championships three players have been charged with committing offences during last weekend’s play-off fixtures.
Workington Town players Andrew Morris and Karl Olstrum have both been charged with offences during their club’s elimination play-off victory over Whitehaven on Sunday September 16.
Morris has been charged with committing a Grade C dangerous throw in the seventh minute of the game; Olstrum has been charged with a Grade A punching offence in the same fixture
Leigh Centurions player Kevin Henderson has been charged with committing a Grade C high tackle during his club’s play-off defeat to Featherstone Rovers on Thursday September 13.
All three players are eligible to submit an Early Guilty Plea. They were charged after the incidents were viewed by the RFL Match Review Panel, who also issued formal cautions to the following player:
- Stuart Dickens (Featherstone Rovers) – Kicking out in the 18th minute v Leigh Centurions on Thursday September 13
