Leeds Rhinos stand-off Danny McGuire will miss the Stobart Super League qualifying semi-final against Wigan Warriors on Friday night after being suspended for one match for a reckless high tackle on Catalan Dragons player Louis Anderson.

McGuire, who pleaded not guilty to the Grade B offence when he appeared before an RFL Disciplinary Tribunal yesterday evening, was also fined £300.

The incident occurred in the 48th minute of last Friday’s preliminary semi-final in Perpignan.

The Tribunal also handed down a one-match ban and £300 fine to Joe Westerman after finding the Hull FC player guilty of a Grade B reckless high tackle in the 25th minute of the preliminary semi-final at Warrington Wolves last Saturday.
