Tigers duo banned Super League

Castleford forward Weller Hauraki and winger Justin Carney will both miss their first matches for the Tigers after being suspended for their part in Sunday’s brawl at Hull FC.

Carney, who joined the club from Sydney Roosters in the winter, has been handed a two-match ban while ex-Leeds Rhinos second rower Hauraki has accepted a one-game suspension and will sit out Sunday’s game against London Broncos.

Hull second rower Danny Tickle has also accepted a one-match ban for his part in the fighting while team-mate Mark O’Meley will face a disciplinary hearing later today.
