Chan faces stint on the sidelines

Huddersfield Giants second row forward Jason Chan has been ruled out for between six and eight weeks with torn knee ligaments.
The Papua New Guinea international, who has made an impressive start to the season for the early Super League leaders, suffered a grade two medial ligament tear in last Friday’s 32-8 win at Leeds Rhinos.
“It’s not good news but it’s not season-ending or anything like that,” said Giants coach Paul Anderson.
“He’s been playing well and he will be missed but it freshens him up and gives someone else an opportunity.”
Huddersfield winger Jermaine McGillvary is in contention for Saturday’s home game against Hull FC after withdrawing from the Leeds match with back spasms.
