Whitehead set for Dewsbury outing

Bradford Bulls second rower Elliott Whitehead, who submitted a transfer request because he wants to join a top-four Super League club, is set to play for part-time Championship team Dewsbury.

Whitehead was dropped for last Sunday's game at St Helens after asking for a move but is now back training with the club's Under-19s and looks poised to join the Bulls' partnership club.

"Elliott is currently training with the academy and will also go and train with Dewsbury, who he will be made available to play for," coach Francis Cummins told the Bradford Telegraph & Argus.

"Elliott has made the decision that he wants to leave but no offers have come in for him."
