Salford City Reds have released utility back Ryan McGoldrick halfway through his two-year contract.
The 32-year-old joined Salford from Hull FC at the start of the season and played in their last 16 matches. He earlier spent seven seasons at Castleford Tigers.
Salford owner Marwan Koukash, who is transforming the Red Devils after they finished bottom of Super League in 2013, broke the news of McGoldrick's exit on Twitter.
"We have reached an agreement with Ryan McGoldrick to release him from his contract with immediate effect," Koukash tweeted. "Wishing him well for the future."
McGoldrick is the seventh confirmed departure from the Salford City Stadium and so far the club have made 13 new signings, with the promise of more to come.
Koukash added: "We are still chasing a number of players. We are not in a rush to sign them and will wait until their clubs accept our terms."
