Hauraki charged with illegal use of knees

28th July 2014

Castleford Tigers player Weller Hauraki will appear before an independent disciplinary tribunal on Tuesday evening after being charged with the Grade C offence of recklessly striking with his knees in a First Utility Super League Round 22 fixture against Hull FC.

Hauraki, who does not have the option of submitting an Early Guilty Plea, was charged after the 77th-minute incident involving Hull’s Jordan Abdull, was viewed by the RFL Match Review Panel.

No other charges were brought from Round 22.
