Leeds v Hull KR Pre Match on SLTV

After securing the engage Super League Leaders Shield last week Leeds Rhinos will kick off the Super League Play-Off series on Friday night, hosting Hull KR at Headingley Carnegie Stadium in the first Qualifying Play-Off.
Hull KR finished the regular engage Super League season in fourth place after a fantastic campaign and will be keen to bounce back after going down against Wakefield last weekend.
SLTV this week caught up with Rhinos’ stars Keith Senior and Kevin Sinfield as well as Hull KR Second Rowers Ben Galea and Clint Newton all of whom were named in the 2009 engage Super League Dream Team.
Congratulations to Leeds Rhinos for winning the League Leader’s Shield on Friday evening following their hard fought 30-24 victory over Salford City Reds.
However, in the words of their coach Brian McClennan “We’re now into a new season,” and he’s right as this Friday engage Super League’s new innovative eight team playoff series kicks off at Headingley Carnegie with Leeds Rhinos facing Hull KR in their quest to become the first team to win three consecutive Grand Finals.
Should Leeds Rhinos beat Justin Morgan’s men then they will be the first team in any world sport to take advantage of ‘ClubCall’ a new and much talked about introduction to this year’s playoffs where by the winning team with the highest league ranking in Week 1 will be able to choose their semi-final opponents in Week 3 from the two winning sides in Week 2!
