Round 5: Five Players to Watch

Five players to keep an eye on during Round Five.

Five players who could shine during Round 5 fixtures, including two of the most promising youngsters in Super League as they go head to head live on Sky Sports.

Harry Newman

An early prediction for the 2020 Super League Young Player of the Year. Harry Newman was awarded the number three jersey at the start of the year; he’s lived up to that expectation. He has scored two tries and made two assists. The centre averages 112 metres per game.

Cameron Smith

Cameron Smith has been one of Leeds Rhinos' stand-out players alongside Harry Newman. The 21-year-old has made 152 tackles, the third highest in Super League. He's also made 285 metres in his first three games of the season.

Israel Folau

Israel Folau will play his first game on British soil since signing for Catalans Dragons. The former Australian international impressed on his home debut scoring a try and playing his first Rugby League game in over ten years.

Gareth Widdop

Gareth Widdop will return to Yorkshire live on Sky Sports on Friday night as his side Warrington Wolves take on Leeds Rhinos. A crucial game for both sides who’ve won two games each, with Leeds playing one less game because of Storm Ciara.

Greg Minikin

Greg Minikin scored an unreal try for Castleford Tigers against Hull KR last year. This year he'll be wearing the red and white jersey of KR and facing Daryl Powell's Tigers. Minikin has currently lost his last three games for KR and they're in need of a win with Toronto at the foot of the table with 0 points.
