Saints reach Grand Final

St Helens have reached their third successive Betfred Super League Grand Final after inflicting a crushing 36-8 defeat on Leeds Rhinos, keeping alive their chances of making it a three-peat.

Saints started the brightest opening up a 14-0 lead after tries from Regan Grace and James Roby. Rhinos crossed just before the break through Richie Myler, but it was Saints who led 14-4 at the break.

Former boxer, Tony Bellew enjoyed his first Rugby League game tonight

The second half saw the Rhinos frustrations boil over with James Donaldson becoming the second Rhino to be sent to the Sin Bin in the game.

Two tries from Mark Percival and one for Kevin Naiqama in the second half proved too much for the Rhinos, who grabbed a late consolation through Luke Briscoe.

Betfred Man of the Match, Lachlan Coote was given a guard of honour from his team mates along with the other departing Saints players

A man of the match performance for the departing Lachlan Coote, saw him kick six goals and marshall the team impeccably from the back.

Tickets for the Betfred Super League Grand Final are priced from £30 and are available to purchase here.
