A RFL Operational Rules Tribunal has imposed sine die suspensions on two Golborne Parkside players after they were found guilty of assaulting a match official in an under-18s match against Chorley Panthers.

Sean Evans and Dale Else were deemed to be in breach of RFL Operational Rules D1.8 (a), (b) and (c); Operational Rules D1.10 (l), (m) and (q) and the RFL’s Respect, Tackle It and Safeguarding policies.

Both players were tried and convicted of assault in the Magistrates Court following the attack on a 19-year-old referee.

The RFL Operational Rules Tribunal also ruled that the Permanent Suspension Orders on Evans and Else should not be reviewed for five years.
