Sheffield Eagles have teamed up with the Stepping Out Dance School for a spectacular dance performance at the Eagles massive Challenge Cup match against the London Broncos (Friday 12th July – 8.00pm) at Don Valley Stadium.
The Eagles are aiming for over 1,000 children to take to the field for the dance with the match being shown LIVE on Sky Sports.
Stepping Out Dance School, led by Michelle Farrar and the Sheffield E-Girls will be leading the dance which will be performed to the popular hit ‘Gangnam Style’ by Psy and children of all ages are encouraged to get onto the pitch and take part.
Speaking of the initiative, Eagles Marketing Manager, Liam Claffey said, “It’s great that we’ve been able to launch this initiative and team up with Michelle (Farrar) and everyone at Stepping Out who are great supporters of the Eagles.”
“The dance aims to encourage the youth of Sheffield to get down to the game, a chance to take to the pitch and dance at what will be one of the last ever major events at Don Valley Stadium.”
“Under 16s can take advantage of our fantastic season ticket promotion to gain free entry to the game and if you have not already done so, I would encourage all those who youngsters who want to come down and take part to sign up for a complimentary season ticket as soon as possible!”
“This is just the first in a long list of activities we have lined up in what will be packed night of entertainment down at Don Valley.”
In the next couple of weeks, Stepping Out will be uploading the dance to YouTube giving you the chance to practice the routines and sharpen up your dance moves prior to the big night!
The Eagles will be working with local schools and community clubs to ensure as many children as possible take part in what will be a great spectacle.

Advance tickets are priced at just £8 for Adults, £5 for Over 60s and only £3 for Under 16’s and Students with Under 16 Season Ticket Holders gaining FREE entry.
