Two Kingstone Press Championship players have each been suspended for four matches each after appearing in front of an RFL Operational Rules Tribunal.

Simon Brown of York City Knights was banned for four matches and fined £50 after using foul and abusive language to a touch-judge during a Northern Rail Cup tie against Doncaster on May 19.

Brown, who admitted using foul and abusive language, was found to be in breach of Operational Rule D1.8c and the RFL’s Respect Policy.

Swinton Lions player Josh Barlow was also suspended for four matches and fined £50 for biting George Flanagan of Batley Bulldogs in the 35th  minute of a Kingstone Championship fixture on June 9.

Barlow pleaded not guilty to the Grade E offence.
