Former Bulls youngster joins Roosters

1st November 2013

Australian champions Sydney Roosters have signed Bradford teenager Curtis Naughton following his release by the Bulls.

The 18-year-old full-back, who made his Super League debut against Huddersfield Giants in the Bulls’ last match of the 2013 season, asked to be released from the final two years of his contract in order to join his mother who emigrated to Australia.

Bradford agreed and Naughton has signed a two-year deal with the Roosters, whose recruitment manager Peter O'Sullivan said: "It's great that Curtis has moved to Australia to pursue his dream.

"The footage I've seen of Curtis warranted he be given the chance to test himself over the next two seasons. He is fast and elusive and we are all looking forward to watching him develop on and away from the field in the coming years."

Naughton will officially join the Roosters when the club's junior team begins pre-season training later this month.
