New format confirmed for Betfred Wheelchair Super League

A new format for the Betfred Wheelchair Super League can be confirmed today with five teams set to play in the competition in 2024.

Halifax Panthers, Hull FC, Leeds Rhinos, London Roosters and reigning champions Wigan Warriors will begin their campaigns on Sunday 16 June with each team facing ten rounds of fixtures. The regular season will conclude on Saturday 14 September with the Grand Final taking place on Sunday 13 October - and shown live on Sky Sports (venue TBC).

Last season saw the Warriors lift the Super League trophy for the very first time during a thrilling 46-40 win against Leeds Rhinos in Manchester and coach Chris Greenhalgh will be looking to Grand Final heroes Adam Rigby and Jack Heggie to make a strong start to their title defence.

Fixtures for the Betfred Wheelchair Super League will be announced in the coming weeks.
