Catapult stats tracker: Ashton's electric effort

Warrington and England international Matty Ashton produced a breath-taking try saving effort to prevent Ash Handley from scoring his eighth try of the season during the Wolves' impressive Round 7 win away at Leeds.

After intercepting a Wire attack, Handley raced away and looked set to score another length of the field try. Step in Matty Ashton, who clocked a top speed of 34.32 km/h to hound down Handley and prevent the Rhinos from taking an early two score lead.

Ashton's top speed is the third highest of the season and was arguably the most important contribution in his sides Round 7 win.

Hull FC youngster Jack Charles ran his blood to water in Round 7, covering more distance than any other player. The half-back showed plenty of fight during a disappointing defeat for the Black & Whites and covered 8.92km across the 80 minutes.

Charles also worked at the joint highest intensity of the round alongside Salford forward Shane Wright. The pair clocked 95 metres per minute during their respective fixtures, with Red Devils' hooker Amir Borouh close behind (94 m/min).
