Top performers

Red Devils forward Oliver Partington topped the Fantasy scoring charts in Round 8 thanks to 91 point return against the Broncos. Partington put in a lung-busting 80 minute display through the middle and finished the game with a huge 51 tackles, five offloads, four tackle busts and 136 run metres from 18 carries.

Esan Marsters cemented his place as a top shelf Fantasy centre after another impressive outing in Round 8. Marsters scored 88 points during Huddersfield's comeback victory against Leeds - he crossed for a try, ran for 215 metres from 22 carries, made three line breaks and a massive 14 tackle busts.

Elsewhere in Round 8, the ever-reliable Rhyse Martin added another 79 points to his 2024 Fantasy total, leading the way for second rowers so far this year. Despite being on the wrong side of the scoreline, Martin was at his consistent best - he made 28 tackles - missing none - set up a try, made a line break, five tackle busts and kicked four goals.

Another back rower in Kallum Watkins returned a solid score of 77, while there was also 70+ scores for Arthur Romano, Jonny Lomax, Liam Horne and Adam Swift.

Fantasy flops

Harry Newman's luckless run with injuries continued in Round 8. The Rhinos' star centre succumbed to a back injury and left the field early in the second half, recording just 11 points during a frustrating night at AMT Headingley.

Mikey Lewis owners were left disappointed after the star half-back was left out of Hull KR's team against Catalans due to injury. Lewis is the top performing half-back in Fantasy and the second highest scoring player in the game - and after being included in the Robins' initial 21-man squad, the England international would have been a popular choice in plenty of Fantasy line-ups.

Lewis Dodd - another Fantasy favourite - was also a late exclusion in Round 8. Dodd dropped out of the Saints team through injury despite being named in his sides initial 21-man squad, with many owners of Dodd eyeing a fruitful return against an out of form and under-strength Hull FC side.

Looking ahead

Catalans pair Michael McIlorum and Mike McMeeken both picked up bans following the latest round of fixtures. McIlorum received two one-match suspensions for separate incidents against Hull KR, while McMeeken received a one game ban for a Grade B dangerous contact in the same match.
