Alex Brown ran in a hat-trick of tries as Hull KR grabbed their first away win of the season with a convincing 42-22 defeat of London Broncos.
Winger Brown powered in for his three scores in the first half as part of an eight-try Rovers display, ensuring a result that leaves the Londoners winless at home this season, but hoists the Robins into the top eight.
Both sides had entered the game in form, the Broncos having earned their first win of the campaign at Salford City Reds last week and KR having put Warrington Wolves to the sword.
The hosts made one change from their road success, Chad Randall restored to the line-up, with Olsi Krasniqi missing out. For the Robins, Keal Carlile made his first start but both Josh Hodgson and Lincoln Withers were forced to sit out.
The visitors were the first to threaten; Michael Dobson’s teasing kick unsettled the London defence, but Luke Dorn was on hand to tidy up the danger.
First blood deservedly went to KR inside the opening 10 minutes and once again it was a Dobson kick that caused havoc, Kris Welham touching down as the ball ran loose.
Minutes later, the visitors increased their lead when Brown shrugged off the tackle of Kieran Dixon and raced home from inside his own half.
Midway through the half, the Broncos hauled themselves back into the contest as Craig Gower barged over after a short pass from Ben Fisher.
But, having got themselves back into it, the hosts immediately gifted a try back, Michael Witt’s loose pass being seized on by Welham - who raced home untouched.
By now, Rovers were rampant and Brown too was to add his second try on the half-hour, showing tremendous power to fend off Chris Bailey and dart over in the corner.
The errors continued to come from the hosts and the Robins capitalised with a fifth try before the break, Greg Eden romping home after a clever pass from Travis Burns.
And there was still time for Brown’s hat-trick try on the hooter, a flowing handling move allowing him to canter in at the corner.
London bossed the opening minutes of the second half and got their reward when Dixon squeezed in at the corner on 50 minutes after good work from Bailey.
Seconds later, it was Bailey himself burrowing over after Brown had spilled a kick as London closed the gap to 30-18.
Dobson steadied the Rovers ship by booting a penalty and the visitors then forced a series of goal-line drop-outs as they once again turned the screw.
That pressure told on the hour when Liam Salter twisted his way over for a try after Burns elected to run on the final tackle.
The Broncos appeared to have been subdued and the Robins stretched further clear when Cory Patterson muscled his way over from close range after a short pass from Dobson.
Dan Sarginson did run in a late consolation for the hosts when good hands from Gower and Bailey put him in at the corner.
