Round 25 predictions

Leeds Rhinos v Huddersfield Giants
The Rhinos are the form team in Betfred Super League thanks to five wins on the bounce - they’ve propelled themselves into fifth position, boasting wins against three of the current top six over the last month. And they can take another top six scalp with a win against third place Huddersfield on Wednesday Night.
Ian Watson’s side are still in with a chance of a top two finish if results go their way but will need to win their last three games regardless. A trip to Headingley in Round 25 is set to be their toughest test ahead of the Play-Offs next month and will give a good indication to where they stand as they look to make their second major final in 2022.
Prediction: Rhinos by 2
Toulouse Olympique v Catalans Dragons
Catalans have lost five of their last seven games since beating St Helens in Round 17. It’s been a worrying couple of months for a side that many would have tipped to get back to the Grand Final in 2022. They remain in fourth place but with the in-form Rhinos on their tails, must start winning games consistently to ensure they earn a home tie in the first week of the Play-Offs.
They face a Toulouse side who seem to have run out of gas having lost their last five and all but had their relegation back into the Championship confirmed. Nevertheless, the chance to beat Catalans at home will be a huge motivator for Sylvain Houles’ side.
Prediction: Dragons by 10

Wakefield Trinity v Hull KR
Trinity have begun to find some consistency in recent weeks, winning three of their last four to all but secure their survival. They will be hoping to end a turbulent season on a high and win their third game in a row when the Robins come to town.
Despite a horrible run of injuries de-railing Hull KR’s season, they’ve shown up well since Danny McGuire took charge. The Robins have shown plenty of fight in recent weeks but have likely missed the chance to reach this year’s Play-Off’s. There’s not much more than pride at stake on Thursday Night but both teams will still be fighting for every inch.
Prediction: Trinity by 6
Salford Red Devils v Hull FC
Salford’s ‘shock’ wins are becoming less and less surprising. Their comprehensive win away at Catalans last weekend was another hugely impressive victory from a side that could be the surprise package in next month’s Play-Offs.
Of course, there’s still some work to do before their top six spot is confirmed, but if form is anything to go by then it’s impossible to write them off. And they face a Hull FC side down on their luck, stripped of confidence and lacking personnel across the field.
Prediction: Red Devils by 20

Warrington Wolves v Castleford Tigers
Castleford’s trip to Warrington is hugely important in their pursuit of a top six spot. After just one win in their last four, Lee Radford’s side have moved out of the top six on points difference with the race for the Play-Offs heating up.
For the Wolves, there's little to play for in the final three rounds but it’s a great opportunity to build some momentum heading into 2023. They cannot afford another disappointing season next year but can begin to right some wrongs before their 2022 campaign reaches its conclusion.
Prediction: Wolves by 2
Wigan Warriors v St Helens
Saving the best ‘til last! Saints can secure the League Leaders’ Shield in emphatic fashion with a win against their oldest rivals at the DW Stadium on Friday Night. It’s first vs second and, if their last meeting at Magic is anything to go by – we’re in for a treat!
The Warriors boast an unbeaten record at home this season. If anyone is to put an end to it – it’s likely to be St Helens. The Champions have had the upper hand against Wigan during their league meetings this year whilst the Warriors defeated the Saints in a thrilling Challenge Cup Semi-Final clash.
Prediction: Warriors by 1
