Catapult stats tracker: Red Devils go the distance

Salford Red Devils' duo Shane Wright and Brodie Croft put in tireless efforts during their gruelling golden point win against Wakefield Trinity in Round 5.

Shane Wright covered more distance than any other player on the weekend - he hit a total distance of 9,047 metres, a monumental effort from a forward who is constantly in the thick of the action. His teammate and reigning Steve Prescott MBE Man of Steel Brodie Croft was close behind with a total distance covered of 8,914 metres.

Elsewhere, Hull FC bounced back in Round 5 despite being on the wrong end of the scoreline. Their effort across the park couldn't be faltered in Round 5, backed up by Danny Houghton and Joe Cator's intensity output. Houghton top scored in Round 5, working at an intensity of 106 metres per minute, whilst Joe Cator hit an average of 99 metres per minute.

In the same game, Tommy Makinson also stood out on Catapult's statistical metrics. The England international recorded more high-speed sprints than any other player, clocking an impressive 12 high-speed efforts.

Warrington flyer Matt Dufty capped off an impressive evening for the Wolves by clocking the quickest speed of the round, hitting a maximum velocity of 33.94km per hour as the Wolves romped home against Leigh.
