Litten staying with the Robins long-term

Hull KR have confirmed that Betfred Challenge Cup winning hooker Jez Litten has signed a new long-term deal with the club, keeping the Robins’ number nine at Sewell Group Craven Park until the end of the 2029 Betfred Super League season.

An integral part of the Robins’ spine, Litten’s re-signing is a significant boost for Willie Peters’ side as the club fended off interest from numerous rivals to retain one of Super League’s most consistent and exciting hookers.

Since joining the club in 2019, Jez has become a fan favourite in East Hull and a crucial part of the Robins’ progress in recent years. Known for his bone-rattling works in defence and energy with the ball in hand, Litten is arguably enjoying the form of his career.

The West Hull junior has made 151 appearances in Red and White, scoring 21 tries. A Challenge Cup winner with Hull KR in 2025, the 27-year-old will be pushing for further honours this season as the play-off race heats up.

Speaking to hullkr.co.uk after putting pen to paper on his new long-term deal, Litten said: “I’m really happy to stay at Hull KR for another four years after this year. I’ve enjoyed my time here since 2019. It’s exciting.

“The joy we’re having on the pitch and the good stuff going on off the pitch. I spoke with my family and they’re happy. We’re enjoying it here.

“Crossing over was mad in 2019 but I’ve found a home here. I’m happy to be staying and hopefully the fans are happy to have me as well.”

Hull KR Head Coach, Willie Peters, said: “Jez is a vital part of our team, he plays an important role both on and off the field. Jez is going into the prime years of his career and I’m sure we’ll see him reach even greater heights both personally and for Hull KR.

“I believe Jez has been the best hooker in the competition this year and he has been rewarded for that with this new four-year extension. Jez has certainly earned the extension through his consistency and his all-in approach.”
