Sio wins Northern Try of the Month

Ken Sio has won September’s Northern Try of the Month award for his quick-thinking effort in Round 22.

After the Red Devils kept the ball alive on the final play, the ball found its way to Sio who expertly grubbered and collected his own kick to score an important Salford try during an impressive 42-14 win against Hull FC.

It was one of four tries Sio scored that day during a Man of the Match performance in front of the Red Devils faithful.

The Salford winger has recently agreed a new two-year deal at the club and was happy to receive this month’s award alongside some worthy nominees.

He stated: “I’m very blessed to receive this award. There was some great tries this month so shout out to them boys as well.??
