Top performers

Hat-trick hero Bevan French had a night to remember on Friday and clocked an impressive 92 points. Alongside his three tries, he made 10 tackle busts, 199 metres from 18 carries and two clean breaks.

Milestone man James Roby was at his consistently brilliant best during his record breaking 455th Super League appearance. Roby scored 82 points thanks to a try, 36 tackles, two offloads and a clean break.

In the same match, former Saint Lachlan Coote put in a great showing at his old stomping ground scoring 78 points. Coote crossed for two tries, set up another one, made four offloads and kicked three goals.

Half-back Harry Smith’s stock continues to rise after another 70+ score. Smith was kept busy against the Red Devils on Friday and crossed for a try, made 24 tackles, a clean break and ran for 95 metres from 24 carries.

There was also a strong outing from Hull KR’s Frankie Halton – the back rower has been the Fantasy find of 2022 and bounced back after a quiet week last time out with a solid 75 point return.

Fantasy flops

Popular Fantasy hooker Kruise Leeming was a late withdrawal from the Rhinos squad in Round 15. Leeming scored a huge 85 points last week and would have been a safe choice at hooker again on Friday but fell ill and missed the game completely.

Derrell Olpherts had his minutes drastically reduced after starting on the bench over the weekend. Olpherts scored just 10 points from a 21 minute stint after sitting out the majority of the contest.

Looking ahead

Betfred Super League takes a break this week ahead of international fixtures on Saturday. It’s a welcome break for many but a select number of players will take the field over the weekend for England, the Combined Nations, France and Wales. Clubs will be hoping their players finish the weekend unscathed but there’s unlikely to be some fallout.
