Harry Gration MBE: 1950-2022

"Personally and on behalf of everyone at Super League, I would like to say how saddened we all are at the news of Harry Gration’s passing. 

For almost as long as I can remember, Harry was not just the face but the very essence of Look North, and as well as a personal friend, he was a great friend of rugby league, not least through being the presenter of The Super League Show between 1999-2011. 

We also worked together on the Forget Me Not Children’s Hospice, which was a charity very close to his heart. Being referred to as one of nature’s gentlemen, can be an overused phrase, however in Harry’s case it is a massive understatement.

I know he will be sadly missed by all who knew him, and none more so than his wife Helen, and his family. 

Our thoughts and sympathies are with them at this most difficult time.??
