Round 22 Team of the Week

There’s just two points between fifth and ninth place after Round 22 as the race for the 2022 Play-Off’s intensifies.

Hull KR kept their top six hopes alive thanks to a spirited fight back against Toulouse on Thursday Night. Captain Shaun Kenny-Dowall was instrumental for the Robins on his return to action, setting up a try, making seven tackles busts, three offloads and running for 207 metres from 19 carries.

Huddersfield followed suit on Friday Night as they too came back from a 16-6 deficit against Hull FC to maintain their spot in third place. Hooker Danny Levi continued his impressive debut season at the Giants with another accomplished performance – he crossed for two tries from dummy half, as well as setting up another, during a devastating stint off the bench.

Elsewhere on Friday, The Warriors scored 32 unanswered points to add to Warrington’s woes. Liam Marshall scored his second hat-trick in successive weeks during another electric performance on the wing. He also set up a try, as well as making more metres than any other player on the field.

Saints got back to winning ways thanks to a home win against Cas on Sunday. Morgan Knowles led the charge for the Champions with a dominant defensive display, making 35 tackles during a 52 minute stint as well as crossing for a try.

Leeds moved into the top six after beating Play-Off rivals Salford at Headingley on Sunday. Rhyse Martin scored 22 of the Rhinos 34 points thanks to two tries and seven goals.

Catalans narrowly defeated Wakefield to stay on Huddersfield’s toes in the top four. Fouad Yaha crossed for a first half hat-trick whilst Arthur Mourgue filled in superbly at full back to set up two tries, make two clean breaks, six tackle busts and run for 156 metres.
