Catapult Stats Tracker: Rivals Round rundown

Rivals Round had it all. Bumper crowds, unprecedented coverage and unrivalled drama.

The top of the table clash between the Dragons and undefeated Wolves lived up to its billing. Players from both clubs topped three of the four key performance metrics in Rivals Round during a game that went right down to the wire.

Wolves flyer Matty Ashton recorded the top speed during the Easter Weekend. He hit a maximum velocity of 35.25 km/h - the second fastest speed of the 2023 season. Ashton now boasts the fastest and second fastest speed across the competition this year.

Ashton's counterpart on Saturday Evening, Tom Davies, recorded more high-speed sprints than any other player in Round 8. Davies hit the high-speed threshold of 25.2 km/h on 11 different occasions against the Wolves.

Stand in Dragons full back Tanguy Zenon covered the most distance in Rivals Round. The young Frenchman recorded a distance of 9,237 metres during a busy afternoon against first placed Warrington.

Elsewhere, the irreplaceable James Roby proved once again that age is just a number - he worked at an immense intensity during a typically busy 62 minute stint. Roby worked at an intensity of 104 metres/min and ahead of the chasing Liam Byrne (103 m/min) and Jarrod O'Connor (101 m/min).
