Mike Cooper ruled out of 2023 Super League season

Wigan Warriors head coach has confirmed that Mike Cooper will miss the rest of the season after leaving the field against St Helens in Round 8.

Speaking on Cooper's injury, Peet said: "First of all it's a bad injury, Mike won't play again this year. We're looking at a minimum of 9 months but it could be more.

"He's got another meeting with a consultant, but he?s done every possible injury to his knee including an ACL rupture."

Peet added: "Our thoughts are with Mike and his family, it's a tough one for him to take but he?s been great in his reaction. He's shown a real positive reaction in team meetings, he spoke to the group about still wanting to play his part, but he will be a blow on the field."
