Wigan Warriors clinched a last-gasp victory against Salford Red Devils in a thriller on Thursday night, as Warriors' Luke Thompson put in a huge shift in both attack and defence to help his side remain unbeaten in 2024.

As St Helens bounced back with a win in West Yorkshire, trio Jonny Lomax, Joe Batchelor and James Bell make Round 5's Team of the Week. It was an all-round performance from Lomax on his 300th a, including his try-assist on the 56th minute that put the Saints in front. Batchelor's defensive efforts with a mammoth 49 tackles and James Bell's 160 metres in just 20 carries also contributed to their victory.

Leigh Leopards secured their first win of the season in emphatic fashion on Saturday, as Ricky Leutele, Matt Moylan and Oliver Holmes were the stars of the show. A Matt Moylan masterclass would lead the way with his two try assists and three tackle busts, as well as a solo try of his own.
Leutele and Holmes also earn their place in Team of the Week after both bagging a brace of tries each, further contributing to Leigh's historic win. They also emerged as two of the Leopard's top metre makers in Round 5, as Adrian Lam's men look to kick on with their 2024 campaign.

Two-try scorer Peta Hiku appears for Hull KR, after his strong performance helped the Robins return to winning ways at the weekend. He is joined by team-mate Jez Litten, who also produced a decent display - with one try, two goals and 31 tackles.

Try-scorer Tom Davies produced a brilliant individual performance over in Perpignan for the Dragons, coming out as their top metre maker of the match and making an incredible five tackles busts, as his side cruised to victory.

It's another trio for Warrington Wolves in Round 5, as hat-trick heroes Matt Dufty and Josh Thewlis and powerhouse Paul Vaughan all feature for their side following big win in the capital. Dufty makes his third consecutive Team of the Week appearance following another impressive performance on Sunday, including a length of the field effort and 240 metres across the full 80 minutes.
