Round 7 Team of the Week

Round 7's Team of the Week...

Wigan Warriors returned to winning ways with a big win in the Battle of the Borough on Thursday night, as Jai Field crossed the whitewash in trademark fashion for his first try of 2024.

Field raced a terrific total of 212 metres on the night, including his length of the field effort, and made one try assist and six tackle busts in Wigan's win over Leigh Leopards.

He is joined by team-mate and Player of the Match Junior Nsemba, who also put in a huge shift in both attack and defence - and claimed his first ever Super League try.

Fast forward to Friday and Castleford Tigers recorded their first win of the 2024 season in style. Speedy winger Innes Senior features in this week's Team of the Week after contributing a whooping four tries to his side's memorable victory, as well as making 191 metres and eight tackle busts in the process.

Sam Wood also starred in the Tigers' team performance, with the match-winning try assist and 139 metres made.

There's also a trio of Wolves among Round 7's Team of the Week as George Williams, James Harrison and Ben Currie take three places for their impressive, all-rounded performances in Warrington's strong win over Leeds Rhinos.

Hull KR's James Batchelor also features following his side's demolition of London Broncos. The second rower emerged as the Robins' top tackler in Round 7, whilst also getting in on the hosts' electric attack and bagging himself a brace.

All smiles for the Robins' two try-scorer James Batchelor.

Adam Swift of Huddersfield Giants had a super day out against his former side once again in Round 7, scoring a first half hat-trick on his return to the MKM Stadium. He appears alongside Giants team-mate Tui Lolohea, who continued to cause all sorts of problems for his opposition in week seven.

Lolohea is named in the Team of the Week for a second week running - this time for a sensational attacking display, including two tries, one try assist, and three tackle busts.

Finally, there are three Catalans faces this week. Mike McMeeken enjoys back-to-back appearances for another top performance, and Alrix Da Costa features for his strong defensive effort of 43 tackles.

Arthur Romano also takes a spot for his wonderful attack, as the Dragons maintained their 100% winning record at home with a win over St Helens.

Mike McMeeken shakes hands with Dragons boss Steve McNamara - both pleased with their win.
