Round 11 Team of the Week

Round 11's Team of the Week...

Warrington’s winning ways continued on Thursday night with an enticing home victory over Hull KR. Toby King bagged a brace on his 150th Wolves appearance and assisted with his side’s other try, while second-rower Matty Nicholson made a whooping 41 tackles in defence.

Milestones were also reached over at the Leigh Sports Village on Friday when Josh Charnley touched down for his 300th career try – as Leigh Leopards were relentless against their rivals Salford Red Devils. Charnley makes it back-to-back Team of the Week appearances and is joined by team-mate Brad Dwyer in Round 11, who caused all kinds of problems for the Red Devils – contributing one try, one assist and several scampering runs.

Saints duo Konrad Hurrell and Matty Lees also make an appearance, after St Helens came up with 52 unanswered points to hammer Castleford Tigers away from home. There was no stopping powerhouse Hurrell who ensured he was at the heart of the action on Friday, with three try assists, six tackle busts and 203 metres in just 14 carries. Lees also emerged as St Helens’ top tackler.

Hat-trick hero Liam Marshall is included in Round 11’s Team of the Week, alongside Wigan Warriors maverick Bevan French. Both players made well over 200 metres in just 16 carries each in their strong win over Huddersfield, with French showing his class in his two tries and two try assists.

Catalans Dragons finally returned to winning ways after two terrible weeks on the road and both Romain Navarete and Mike McMeeken made some huge carries to help the Dragons nil Leeds Rhinos - the Rhinos' second consecutive nilling in Perpignan.
