Round 14 Round Up

Friday night saw a feast of Betfred Super League with Salford, Hull KR, and Wigan all victorious in Round 14.
Paul Rowley's Salford stunned Sam Burgess' Warrington, as the Red Devils recorded a 14-25 victory over their opponents at the Halliwell Jones Stadium.
A super first forty saw Salford take an incredible 19-0 lead - with breakaway tries from Nene Macdonald, Deon Cross, and Marc Sneyd, before the playmaker slotted over a drop goal on the stroke of half-time.
The Wolves did forge a late comeback on the hour mark with Rodrick Tai and Matty Ashton crossing the whitewash to reduce the deficit to 11 points, but a beautifully timed kick from Sneyd was collected by Cross who went over for his second and sealed a strong away win for his side.
In East Hull, Hull KR secured an emphatic 32-6 win against Huddersfield Giants to extend their winning streak at home.
Despite the Giants opening the scores with Esan Marsters intercepting and running the length of the field, the Robins soon responded, and ran in six tries on the night.
Peta Hiku, Tyrone May, Matt Parcell and Ryan Hall were the names on the scoresheet and it was a special night to remember at Sewell Group Craven Park - not only for a confident victory, but Hall went over for two tries, to both equal and break the all-time Super League try-scoring record!
The third fixture on Friday was an enthralling encounter at the Mend-A-Hose Jungle between Castleford Tigers and Wigan Warriors, with a try a-piece from Liam Marshall and Tex Hoy in the opening half.
The close contest then continued into the second half, with the Tigers successfully converting two penalty kicks and Marshall bagging a brace to level the scores at 8-8 heading into the final ten minutes.
It was sheer effort from the Tigers and little to separate the two sides in Round 14, but a penalty goal would edge Wigan in front - the Champions holding out to snatch a 8-10 win on the road.
On Saturday, Hull FC produced an incredible 18-10 win over Leeds Rhinos to end their losing run of 11 matches. The Black & Whites scored two quick-fire tries late in the firsty forty to go 12-0 up at the break, before Cameron Scott added a third try seven minutes into the second half.
Leeds did respond with two tries from Ash Handley and Harry Newman, but FC proved too strong on home soil.
In Saturday's second Super League match, Leigh Leopards produced an outstanding team display to earn their first Super League double over the Catalans Dragons in Perpignan.
Leigh's resurgence continued as they kept the Dragons scoreless for a second time this season, as Tom Amone scored the game's only try crashing over from close range (2-10).
Round 14 then concluded with London Broncos v St Helens at Twickenham Stoop Stadium. The Saints registered a convincing 6-52 victory in the capital to go top of the Betfred Super League table.
Paul Wellens' men ran in nine tries on Sunday afternoon, including a Waqa Blake brace and hat-trick from Daryl Clark.
