Round 27's Team of the Week...

The Warriors lifted the Betfred League Leaders’ Shield on Thursday and three players feature in the Team of the Week from their 64-0 victory over the Red Devils.

Jai Field ran riot with the full-back scoring a hat-trick and also getting an assist. Liam Marshall made over 200 metres to go alongside his two tries. The final Warrior to make the side was Bevan French, who once again was at his brilliant best. French scored twice and assisted two other tries.

Second rower, Sam Hewitt, was influential in the Giants final round victory at home to the Tigers. Hewitt crossed the whitewash twice and also turned provider for another try,

The Leopards sealed their spot in the Betfred Super League Play-Offs with a home success over the Saints. Ricky Leutele and John Asiata were both on the scoresheet for, meanwhile Edwin Ipape caused problems at hooker for the Saints.

Prop, Robbie Mulhern, made 144 metres from 21 carries and in defence made 35 tackles.

Matty Ashton capped off the regular season in good form. The Wolves winger scored a hat-trick during their dominant home display against the Broncos. He was joined in the side by teammate Matty Nicholson. He crossed for two tries of his own.

The final match on ‘Frantic Friday’ saw the Robins guarantee themselves a home semi-final.

Sauaso Sue continued his good run of form. The prop barged over from close range. Peta Hiku’s offload for Joe Burgess saw a great assist, as well as capitalising to score a try in the first half.

 

The Betfred Super League Play-Off Eliminators will get underway on Friday night with Salford Red Devils v Leigh Leopards, live exclusively on Sky Sports (K.O. 8pm).
