Fantasy League debrief

Fantasy Super League returned for Round 14, following a week absence due to the Betfred Challenge Cup.

Here is a breakdown of what went down...

Top performers

Speaking of absences, this week's top performer returned from a period on the sidelines in impressive fashion. Saints' Kyle Feldt scored four tries and took over the kicking duties during Sunday's match against Salford.

Feldt also made 163 metres from just 13 carries. At £170, there's no denying he's an expensive pick up, but if Feldt can return 93 points regularly, he would be a valuable signing.

James Batchelor takes second spot for his part in the Robins’ thrashing of Catalans Dragons on Friday. Batchelor was repositioned back to his more natural role at second row and it proved worthwhile with two tries helping him claim 88 Fantasy points. With a £125k price tag, Batchelor could be a clever selection.

Rounding out the top three this week is another second rower and the only other player to get over the 80 point mark. Morgan Gannon helped the Rhinos defeat the Wolves as they continue their fantastic form.

Gannon made 108 metres and 29 tackles - an exceptional all-rounded performance. His 86 point haul takes him to 575 Fantasy points this year, which is quite good given his £90k value.

Is he a player who you’ll be adding to your team?

Fantasy flops

The obvious place to start this week is with the Dragons’ skipper Benjamin Garcia. Garcia saw red after punching Elliot Minchella. Not only did that harm his points this week in Fantasy, but he is facing a length spell on the sidelines.

Garcia is a player you’ll want out of your side ahead of Thursday’s 6PM deadline...

At £125k, people would have expected a better showing from Warrington centre Rodrick Tai. Tai scored just 17 points, making just 30 metres in the Wolves’ heavy loss to the Rhinos.

Sam Burgess' men next face a struggling Giants at the weekend, however, so it could be worth persisting with the Papua New Guinean for at least another week.

Tevita Pangai Junior and his Dragons teammates will certainly want to forget their trip to East Hull. Pangai Junior scored 21 points, and at £160k, it looks like your money could be spent better elsewhere.

With 46 metres from 8 carries and 12 tackles, it won’t be a performance which will live long in anybody’s memory.

Top 3 Performers at the Halfway Mark:

1 - Mikey Lewis (Hull KR) - 939 Fantasy Points

2 - Herman Ese'ese (Hull FC) - 916 Fantasy Points

3 - Mike McMeeken (Wakefield Trinity) - 854 Fantasy Points

Don't miss the deadline!

Don’t forget you have until 6pm on Thursday 19 June to make any changes to your teams!
