Round 15 Preview

We’re midway through the 2025 Betfred Super League with all attention turning to the league standings, Play-Off positions, and both individual and team performances in the second half of the season.

Here’s what’s coming up in Round 15…

Thursday 19 June

Castleford Tigers v Hull KR (20.00) – live on Sky Sports

Round 15 gets underway at the Jungle when Castleford welcome league leaders Hull KR to town.

The Tigers pulled off a shock victory against Hull FC in Round 14 and will now be looking to compete against the Black & Whites’ inner-city rivals and attempt to seal back-to-back wins for the first time in 2025.

Danny McGuire’s men will be under no illusion of the challenge they face, however. The Robins enter this match on the back of a flabbergasting 68-6 victory over Catalans Dragons last Friday, and the week before that, a dramatic Betfred Challenge Cup Final win.

The visitors’ momentum shows no signs of slowing – instead – appears to be gearing up at the right time as the charge to the Play-Offs well and truly begins.

That said, their last meeting in Round 1 saw a Golden Point thriller unfold - with Tigers only just falling short after a Mikey Lewis one-pointer.

Two more points and Lewis will reach a total of 500 for Hull KR.

There's only once change to Willie Peters' 21-man squad with Joe Burgess coming back into contention, replacing Harvey Horne.

Friday 20 June

St Helens v Leeds Rhinos (20.00) – live on Sky Sports

There’s a Friday night showdown between the Saints and the Rhinos at the Totally Wicked Stadium. They last met at Magic WKND back in May, with Leeds coming away as 17-4 victors.

The Rhinos have been in incredible form this past month and are aiming for a sixth straight Super League win. But can they overcome the Saints once again?

Paul Wellens makes two changes his Saints squad, with Joe Batchelor and George Whitby unavailable following issues picked up in their previous fixture against Salford.

The two Saints who step into the 21-man squad are Will Roberts and Jake Davies - and should either be selected and play on Friday night - then they would make their official St Helens and Super League debuts.

For the Rhinos, co-captain Cameron Smith is set to make his 150th Super League appearance since making his debut in 2016.

Andy Ackers is also included again and could feature.

The only change to last week's extended squad sees Alfie Edgell miss out this time round, with Australian centre Ethan Clark-Wood coming back in.

Wakefield Trinity v Wigan Warriors (20.00) – live on Sky Sports+ and SuperLeague+

Wakefield are at home for a second week running as they welcome the current champions to the DIY Kitchens Stadium.

It is the Warriors’ first visit to Wakefield since July 2023, although this is a game that Matt Peet’s men will certainly want to forget, as a Will Dagger drop goal in Golden Point extra time clinched a crucial win for the home side.

In total, Wigan have won 46 Super League matches against their Friday night opponents, while Wakefield have won just 15.

Trin come into this game aiming to get back to winning ways, whereas the Warriors haven't lost a game since Round 5.

For Wakefield, an unchanged squad has been named.

For Wigan, there's one change as Luke Thompson returns from injury to replace Harvey Makin.

Warriors wizard Bevan French has scored tries in his side's last three meetings with Wakefield. If selected, will he continue this superb streak?

Saturday 21 June

Warrington Wolves v Huddersfield Giants (15.00) – live on Sky Sports+ and SuperLeague+

It’s a tie between two sides who have been demoralised in recent weeks, but it’s time to right those wrongs in Round 15.

As the Wolves look to respond to their disappointing defeat over in Leeds, Huddersfield will also have taken some confidence from their impressive performance against Wigan last weekend; despite the heartbreaking last-gasp loss.

Warrington have won their last three home meetings with the Giants.

If picked to play on Saturday, stalwart Tom Burgess would make his 350th career appearance.

Wire's new recruit Sam Stone could also make his debut this weekend.

Catalans Dragons v Leigh Leopards (17.30) – live on Sky Sports+ and SuperLeague+

Saturday’s Super League continues with Catalans and Leigh going head-to-head in Perpignan.

They last met at Magic WKND in Newcastle where a tight contest unfolded and the Leopards came away with a 26-24 win.

Since this moment, Leigh have won two and lost two, while Catalans have endured a string of horrid defeats and find themselves five points away from a Play-Off place.

Who will win this Round 15 battle? The Leopards' last outing in the south of France saw them come away with the two points (2-10)..

Sunday 22 June

Salford Red Devils v Hull FC (15.00) – live on Sky Sports+ and SuperLeague+

On Sunday, Salford host Hull FC to see out Round 15. It will be their first meeting of 2025.

Fourteen rounds down, thirteen to go. But what are the current Betfred odds for teams to win the Super League Grand Final? There have been quite a few changes since the beginning of the year…
