An Interview with Liam Marshall and Dean Chadwick | Wigan & Leigh Hospice

12 Aug 2025

Wigan and Leigh Hospice is a registered charity serving people across Wigan borough who have been diagnosed with an illness which is no longer curable. Every day, 365 days a year, they aim to offer a supportive, caring approach to everyone who uses their services.

Following treatment at Wigan and Leigh Hospice last year for Liam Marshall’s mother, and Dean Chadwick’s father, both have continued their relationship with the hospice supporting them in raising awareness and funds. Leigh Leopards are also fully behind the cause, donating a shirt which is now signed by both sides men’s first team.
This Friday Dean will be in Robin Park’s Fan Village ahead of their clash against Hull KR, and it’s fans’ last opportunity to purchase a raffle ticket for the chance to take home the signed shirt plus two tickets to the 2025 Betfred Super League Grand Final. All proceeds will be donated to Wigan and Leigh Hospice, helping them continue their vital work within the community.

Lindsey Butler, Fundraising and Community Engagement Manager for WLH adds “ We are so thankful for the support both Leigh Leopards and Wigan Warriors show us week in, week out. Not only do they help us to fundraise to keep our doors open, but they raise awareness of the hospice and the impact it has on the Wigan and Leigh borough. We are so grateful to both teams and can’t thank them enough.”

So for all Wigan fans heading to the big one this Friday, make sure you get down to the Fan Village before kick off for your chance to win, while supporting a fantastic cause.
