Round 26 Team of the Week

Round 26’s Team of the Week…

There were surprises galore in the penultimate round, starting with the Dragons shocking the Rhinos on Thursday Night.

Julian Bousquet came up with a fortunate score eight minutes from time, which won the match the French side, while captain Ben Garcia worked tirelessly in defence, racking up 51 tackles - the highest of any player on the pitch.

The electric Jai Field features for a second week in running with two tries, two try assists and 124 metres in just 14 carries.

Teammate Tyler Dupree also racked up 156 metres in what was a dominant display from the champions.

On Friday Night, Lachlan Lam reached 40 try assists and was once again instrumental in Leigh’s victory - a victory which also secured their highest ever Super League finish and a home Eliminator in the 2025 Play-Offs.

Umyla Hanley also continued his impressive form, and retains his place in Team of the Week, as a result.

There's a trio of Trinity players included, after they stunned the league leaders in Round 26.

Mason Lino the magician had his hands all over the game with a brilliant individual try, one try assist and a total of 19 kicks in play.

Cam Scott stepped up with one try, 119 metres and four tackle busts, and the ever reliable Jay Pitts completed 48 tackles as Wakefield strengthened their chances of a top six finish.

Similarly, three Hull players appear in Team of the Week as they kept their Play-Off hopes alive.

The experienced and versatile Zak Hardaker guided a youthful Black & Whites outfit around the park and scored the closing try on Saturday.

Lewis Martin carried on his bid for Super League’s top try scorer by adding another to his tally at the weekend. By doing so, Martin also became the first Hull FC player in the modern era to score against every opposition they’ve faced in a single season. What an achievement!

Meanwhile, Harvey Barron enjoyed a stellar showing, with one try, one try assist, 168 metres in 14 carries and five tackle busts.

Finally, it was an applaudable effort from Huddersfield hooker Zac Woolford, with 117 metres and 42 tackles.
