Salford take on Hull KR at Anfield on Sunday as part of Dacia Magic Weekend with only two defeats in their last five games, against Wigan Warriors and Betfred Super League leaders St Helens by four and two points respectively.
Hastings has been in fine form on a personal level, with five tries in 15 appearances this season as well as four goals in February 10's win over London Broncos.
He said of Watson: “He makes you really want to go out there and put your body on the line for him.
“For me personally, he’s taken my game to a whole new level. He’s given me the freedom and a certain way to play, it’s a breath of fresh air for me.

“We’re doing really well,?? Hastings added. “It’s all positive at the moment.
“We had a disappointing result on the weekend but we have a chance to bounce back against Hull KR.
