Danny Houghton made 2.2 tackles or passes per minute against Hull KR.

Danny Houghton made 60 tackles against rivals Hull KR live on Sky Sports on Thursday night. He also made 117 passes, which averages a tackle or pass 2.2 times a minute. 

Hull FC’s Houghton is currently at the top of the leader board for most tackles made and marker tackles, the hooker averages 48.9 tackles a game this season. Houghton also covered 9,102 metres against KR, 113.4 metres a minute. 

Bureta Faraimo made 173 metres, an average gain of 9.6 metres, while Joe Westerman made 46 tackles missing only 1 tackle. 

Eight players made over 100 metres for KR, and eleven players made 20 tackles or more as KR look to share the workload. Those eleven players made up for 88.5% of the tackles made, while eight players who made 100 metres or more account for 65.5% of KR’s metres made. 

Mitch Garbutt made KR’s most metres (142), Garbutt currently averages 144 metres a game, he also made 32 tackles and made a try assist. 

Matt Parcell made his debut for KR, scoring a try, he also made 130 metres off 10 carries an average gain of 13, 103 passes, and 41 tackles. 

George Williams made 150 metres for Wigan Warriorsin their victory over Salford Red DevilsJoe Greenwood made 40 tackles without missing one, while Willie Isa made the most tackles for Wigan (41). 

Greg Burke, Tyrone McCarthy, Ryan Lannon and Gil Dudson accounted for 40.7 % of Salford’s tackles made with Dudson making 31 tackles in only 44 minutes. Jackson Hastings was Salford’s top metre maker with 155 metres.

Jake Mamo made 200 metres against St Helens and scored a try, only Josh Charnley and Chris Hill made over 100 metres with Hill also making 37 tackles in 61 minutes. Daryl Clark made 53 tackles and 97 passes averaging 1.88 passes or tackles made in a minute. Joe Philbin made 27 tackles in 28 minutes.

Tommy Makinson continued his fine form, he made 213 metres and is currently the top metre maker in Super League, averaging 151.7 metres a game. Makinson also accounts for 9.6% of Saints’ metres made this season with two games missed. James Bentley replaced Aaron Smith early in the game and he made 44 tackles and 59 passes in 55 minutes averaging a pass or tackle 1.87 times a minute. 

Kelepi Tanginoa made 163 metres against Huddersfield Giants an average gain of 12.5 metres. Kyle Wood made 28 tackles and 53 passes averaging either a pass or tackle 1.62 times a minute. 

Last week, Louis Senior made 141 metres, this week he made 108 metres, only Suaia Mutagi made more metres than him (114). 

Kieran Dixon was the only London Broncos player to break 100 metres, he made 151 metres, while Olsi Krasniqi made 98 metres in 46 minutes. 

Jordan Rankin made 156 metres against London, his Castleford Tigers team mate Adam Milner made 139 metres, 24 tackles and 35 passes. 

Alrix Da Costa made 61 tackles against Leeds Rhinos and 84 passes, that averages either a pass or tackle 1.81 times a minute. Mickael Goudemand only played 13 minutes and made 15 tackles over a tackle a minute and Remi Casty made 41 tackles and 75 metres in 50 minutes. 

Liam Sutcliffe made 42 tackles with Trent Merrin 39 tackles and 127 metres in 65 minutes. Merrin, Harry Newman, Konrad Hurrell, Ash Handley and Adam Cuthbertson all made over 120 metres accounting for 48.4% of Rhinos’ metres made.
