Covid-19 (Coronavirus) Ticketing FAQ

Public health considerations – for everyone - and particularly the most vulnerable in all our communities - are everyone’s priority.

The Rugby Football League and Super League continue to follow the Government’s advice. We are in constant contact with the relevant Government Departments who are informed by the national scientific and medical experts.

All tickets purchased with RFL ticketing are subject to the standard terms and conditions of sale which can be found on our ticketing website.

Please understand that due to the high volume of enquiries, our ticketing team is experiencing higher numbers of calls and emails at the current time and it may therefore take a little longer than normal for us to respond.  We will endeavour to respond to all our customers within 72 hours at this time. We are working remotely in line with the government restrictions and we appreciate your patience.

Event update

Dacia Magic Weekend 2021 will take place at James’ Park, Newcastle on 4 and 5 September.

Any tickets purchased for 2020, and where a refund has not been requested, will be valid for Dacia Magic Weekend in 2021. We thank you for your continued patience, support and understanding at this uncertain time.

Under the current Government guidelines events taking place after 19 July should plan to go ahead with little to no restrictions. However, please note that should circumstances change then whilst every effort will be made to locate your seats in the same area for the 2021 Dacia Magic Weekend we cannot guarantee this that this will be possible in all cases. Should your seats need to be relocated, they will be transferred to a location that matches the price band that you paid for the 2020 Dacia Magic Weekend. Additionally, if restrictions are reintroduced at the time of the event it may be required to convert all previously unreserved areas of the venue to reserved seating. This means that you may be required to remain in the same seat throughout the duration of the event where this was previously not the case. Under the current lifting of restrictions on 19 July, this is not anticipated, but always a risk.

Consequently, we have prepared some FAQs to provide you with some further information.

FAQ

Q. When will I receive my tickets for Dacia Magic Weekend 2021?

All tickets purchased before 18 March 2021 will be received via the post close to the time of the event. This is to ensure all tickets distributed meet any, and all potential restrictions regarding stand capacity and social distancing. While following 19 July 2021 we anticipate the event will go ahead with no restrictions, we are taking extra precautions to acknowledge the fluidity of the situation. This also applies to tickets purchased directly from your Super League club.

All tickets purchased on or following 18 March 2021 will be sent via email as ‘Print at Home’ tickets, as per the RFL ticketing website. These tickets will be received in the same time frame as above.

Q. Will my 2020 ticket(s) be valid for Dacia Magic Weekend 2021?

Yes as per the RFL ticketing terms and conditions your existing tickets will remain valid for the event in 2021 and you don’t need to do anything. Your details and tickets have been stored in the system, and tickets bought during 2020 will be dispatched closer to the event.

Q. What happens to my ticket(s) if I cannot attend the 2021 event?

We wrote to all ticket purchasers on 29 June 2020 when the 2020 event got cancelled, and again on 11 February 2021 when the new event dates were confirmed. We gave people an opportunity to claim a refund or credit note until 28 March 2021

To make it easier for customers who did not claim a refund in this time we transferred all tickets to the exact same seats for the 2021 event.

Should you still require a refund or have a query regarding your tickets, please email Ticketing@RFL.co.uk

Q. I exchanged my 2020 ticket(s) to a Rugby League event for a credit note and would now like to redeem this for Dacia Magic Weekend 2021, how do I do this?

Your account will have been credited at the time of the initial credit note, so to redeem it please login to your Our League / Ticketmaster account and the account credit can be used at checkout.

PLEASE NOTE: Should you be experiencing issues with redeeming your credit note, please email 2020events@rfl.co.uk or ticketing@rfl.co.uk and mark any correspondence relating to credit notes as ‘MATCH CREDIT NOTE’.

Q. Can you compensate me on travel and/or accommodation expenses for an event which has been cancelled?

As per the T&C’s of sale, unfortunately we cannot compensate anything beyond the cost of the tickets. In the event of a cancellation, this will be communicated at the earliest opportunity to give ticket holders as much notice as possible.

Q. Will I be required to wear a face mask and/or socially distance when inside the stadium?

As per the current Government guidelines, all restrictions relating to face coverings and social distancing are lifted from 19 July onwards. However, we will continue to work closely with the Government to ensure the safety of our fans and recognise that rules may change by the time of the event.

Q. I have purchased Hospitality ticket(s) for Dacia Magic Weekend, how do I get a refund?

We would like to offer you the option to keep your current tickets and use them as a credit to be used for either Dacia Magic Weekend or Betfred Super League Grand Final in 2021, If you wish to take this option you do not need to do anything at the moment and the Hospitality Team will be in touch with you.

Alternatively, a refund can be requested by emailing enquiries@superleague.co.uk with the subject of the email marked as ‘HOSPITALITY REFUND’.

As above, if no refund was requested by 28 March 2021 your booking will automatically transfer to the 2021 Dacia Magic Weekend event.
