Garbutt set for Rovers exit

Hull Kingston Rovers have confirmed that prop forward, Mitch Garbutt will part ways with the club at the end of the season.

Garbutt will be making a move to pursue further career options for 2021, leaving his contract with Hull KR a year early.

The Australian-born powerhouse joined the Robins for the start of the 2019 campaign and will see out the remainder of the 2020 season with the club.

"I'd like to thank the fans, the staff and all the players for making me feel welcome from the moment I stepped through the doors last season. I've had a great time," said Garbutt.

"I'm looking forward to closing out the year with Rovers. I've really enjoyed my time at the club so far."

Head coach Tony Smith added: "We wish Mitch all the best for the future. We're all confident that he's going to finish out the season strong with the club.

"He's been a fantastic servant for us and we are all extremely grateful for his contributions."
