Voting open for February's Glen's Player of the Month

Nominees for the first Betfred Super League Player of the Month in 2024 are revealed today - an award supported by Glen's Vodka, with the winner decided by the votes of Rugby League supporters via the Our League app.

Catalans Dragons have two of their new signings on the shortlist: Tariq Sims, who rocked Warrington Wolves and England skipper George Williams with one of the tackles of this or any other season in Round One; and Jordan Abdull who scored a try during that 16-10 victory over the Wolves in Perpignan.

St Helens also have two inclusions in the form of England full-back Jack Welsby - who scored one try and assisted another in Saints' win at Huddersfield Giants - and new signing Matt Whitley, who's the competition's joint top scorer having crossed the whitewash three times already this season.

Ash Handley finds himself on the shortlist following two stunning solo tries for Leeds Rhinos in their opening fixtures, and he's joined by Mikey Lewis who has taken his outstanding 2023 form for Hull KR into '24.

Voting is open via the Our League App now and closes on Sunday 3 March. The winner will be unveiled exclusively by Jenna Brooks on Sky Sports News next Wednesday afternoon (March 6) from 3.30pm on The Rugby League Verdict.
