Peats joins Toulouse

Toulouse Olympique have announced the signing of experienced hooker Nathan Peats with immediate effect until the end of 2023.

Peats began his professional career in 2011 with NRL side South Sydney Rabbitohs where he played 55 games. In 2013, he joined the Parramatta Eels, the club he first played alongside his new Toulouse teammates Corey Norman and Daniel Alvaro. 

In 2016, Peats joined the Gold Coast Titans where he played a further NRL 69 games, as well as featuring in the 2017 State of Origin for the New South Wales Blues.

The native of the suburbs of Sydney flies away for Europe and the Super League, which he will discover with the workforce of the Centurions of Leigh but also with that Giants of Huddersfield having been loaned. After a full season played across the Channel (23 games), the hooker arrives in France, with the  1 championship matches in the Tarnais jersey.

Peats left Australia for the Betfred Super League in 2021, joining the newly promoted Leigh Centurions before moving to Huddersfield Giants on loan half way through the season. After one season in England, Peats moved to France where he featured for French side Albigensian Tigers in the French Elite 1 competition.

On signing with Toulouse, Nathan Peats said: "At the end of my Super League season with the Huddersfield Giants, my family and I wanted to settle in France and I had the opportunity to play with Albi RL XIII, with the hope of joining the Toulouse Olympic thereafter. I am very grateful that this is now a reality and very happy to join this club. I can't wait to meet my new teammates."
