Round 15 Team of the Week

Round 15 was all about one man โ€“ James Roby. The irreplaceable Roby took to the field on Sunday for a record 455th Super League appearance, surpassing Kevin Sinfield OBE to move top of the all-time Super League appearance charts.

Roby was in typically fine form against Hull KR and crossed for a try in the first half as his side earned yet another victory to consolidate their spot at the top of the Betfred Super League table.

Chris McQueen is having a year to remember at Huddersfield and was integral to his sides winning form again on Friday. He scored a try from an 80 metre dash during the Giants win against Leeds, taking his try scoring tally to 10 for the season โ€“ joint fifth across the competition.

Elsewhere, Bevan French is quickly finding form reminiscent of his 2020 season at the Warriors. He crossed for a hat-trick which included an unbelievable length of the field effort, started and finished by French.

The Dragons put Hull FC to the sword on Saturday Night โ€“ half back Mitchell Pearce again influential for the French outfit. Pearce scored a try and set up three more during a seven try display from the Dragons.

Lee Radfordโ€™s Cas side trailed twice in Toulouse but eventually came out on top to move back into the top six. Centre Mahe Fonua crossed for an important try as well as carrying the ball well, finishing with 130 metres from 17 carries.

And Trinity secured their second win on the bounce to move further away from the foot of the table thanks to a hard-fought victory against Warrington. James Batchelor has been included in the Team of the Week for the second consecutive week after another fine performance out of position, crossing for a brace of tries in the process.
