World Club Challenge SOLD OUT

Wigan Warriors have recently confirmed that tickets for February's Betfred World Club Challenge clash against NRL Premiers Penrith Panthers have SOLD OUT.

The reigning Betfred Super League Champions will host three-time NRL Premiers Penrith Panthers in what promises to be a spectacular occasion and is now set to be on show in front of a sell-out crowd.

The Warriors announced that 23,500 tickets had been sold on Friday, with a recent announcement on Monday morning confirming that the venue is now at its capacity - and completely sold out.

With just over a month to go until this eagerly-anticipated contest between the Champions of the Northern and Southern Hemisphere, four-time winners Wigan will be looking for a record-equalling fifth World Club Challenge title, while the Panthers will be looking to claim their first win in four attempts - their most recent World Club Challenge loss being the dramatic golden-point defeat to St Helens in a memorable tie last year.

Wigan Warriors beat Catalans Dragons in the Betfred Super League Grand Final at Old Trafford, in a hard-fought 10-2 victory, whereas the Penrith Panthers saw off Brisbane Broncos 26-24 in an electrifying NRL Grand Final to earn their respective places in this World Club Challenge match.

The hotly-anticipated 'Clash of the Champions' will take place on Saturday 24 February, at the DW Stadium, and fans are advised to look out for further updates regarding this blockbuster event.
