Betfred Super League will celebrate its 30th and most action-packed year yet as it returns to a 14-team competition for 2026 – kicking off with the newly promoted York Knights hosting the treble-winning champions Hull KR at the LNER Community Stadium on Thursday February 12 (KO 8pm), exclusively live on Sky Sports.

2026 promises to be another huge year of Rugby League which includes Hull KR hosting reigning NRL Champions Brisbane Broncos in the Betfred World Club Challenge on February 19 (KO 7.30pm) and Leeds Rhinos facing Willie Peters side in Las Vegas during Round Three.

Sky Sports’ second pick from Round One will see Warrington Wolves host St Helens as Paul Rowley looks to hit the ground running as he takes the reigns at the Saints (KO 8pm).

Super League will make a long-awaited return to two of the league’s former members in Round Two with Bradford Bulls hosting 2023 Grand Finalists Catalans Dragons on Feb 19 (KO 8pm) and Castleford Tigers travelling to France to face Toulouse Olympique on Feb 20 (KO 6pm) and both exclusively live on Sky Sports.

Super League will celebrate its 30th Birthday in Round 6 where two foundation fixtures will be played from the first round of games back in 1996 - Castleford Tigers will play Bradford Bulls on March 26 and Leeds Rhinos will play Warrington Wolves on March 29.

Rivals Round will again be staged across the Easter weekend from April 3-5, kicking off with the traditional Good Friday clash between St Helens and Wigan Warriors before Bradford Bulls and Leeds Rhinos renew their famous rivalry under the lights of Odsal Stadium – a truly unmissable clash between two former Super League champions.

Round 13 will feature a Parisian twist when Catalans Dragons and the Wigan Warriors square off at Stade Jean Bouin to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the Dragons being in Super League, and 30 years since Super League first kicked off at Stade Charlety.

Thursday night fixtures have also been confirmed through until the penultimate round in September, including the Hull derby at the MKM Stadium on July 23 when Rivals Returns during Round 20 and The Final Charge towards the Super League Grand Final at Old Trafford on October 3 begins to take shape.

Sky Sports have also selected the Round Twelve Grand Final rematch between Hull KR and Wigan Warriors, at Sewell Group Craven Park on April 15 for exclusive coverage.

Rhodri Jones, the Managing Director of Rugby League Commercial, said:

“The road to the 2026 Betfred Super League Grand Final begins today and the season already promises to be one of the most action packed yet with a new name on the fixture list and two teams returning to the topflight, as well as celebrating 30 years of Super League.

“Round One will see York Knights compete in their very first Super League fixture against the reigning champions Hull KR, and the following night will see the introduction of a new 6pm Friday night slot dedicated to games taking place in France as we look to maintain a greater spread of matches across each weekend.

“In addition to Rivals Round with seven matches spread across the Easter weekend including the classic local derbies, Magic Weekend will also return for 2026. Taking place at Everton’s Hill Dickinson Stadium in Liverpool, which recently hosted the Second ABK Beer Ashes Series Test between England and Australia in front of a capacity crowd.

“Alongside the full fixture release, today we have also launched a new partnership with ECAL allowing fans the opportunity to download their favourite clubs’ fixtures direct to their digital calendar.

“With the Betfred World Club Challenge in Round Two, Leeds Rhinos and Hull KR heading for Las Vegas in Round Three and a Super League return to Paris on June 6, the release of the fixtures confirms how much there is to look forward to in 2026.”
