Your Round 18 Super League Team of the Week...

Nikau Williams was the match-winning man for York Knights on Thursday. His try ensured their third win on the bounce, as well as victory at home to the Black & Whites.

Denive Balmforth put on a strong display against his parent club, with a try, 21 tackles and five tackle busts.

On Friday, Wigan’s rising stars stood up to beat local rivals Warrington. Taylor Kerr, who impressed when he came off the bench, was one of four Warriors youngsters who managed to cross for their first senior try and matched his opponents in every department.

The experienced Luke Thompson also led by example, with 28 tackles and a whopping 152 metres, as the Cherry & Whites made it six wins on the spin.

Two try scorer Waqa Blake was a key man in the Bulls’ victory over Huddersfield - their first away triumph of the 2026 season.

It’s nine wins in their last eleven for the Leigh Leopards as they moved into the top six in Round 18.

The almost ever-present Lachlan Lam orchestrated a masterclass with one try and one assist, whilst David Armstrong flourished on the wing with two tries, one try assist, as well as 115 metres in just 12 carries.

Could they be pivotal in the Leopards’ Play-Off race?

Saturday then saw the champions’ lengthy home run come to an abrupt end, as Wakefield Trinity became the first team to emerge victorious at Sewell Group Craven Park since June last year.

Captain Chaos was influential - Caius Faatili’s two tries in the second half helped seal a statement win for Trinity - as did Jazz Tevaga’s performance, with 119 metres, 24 tackles and six tackle busts.

Leeds Rhinos remain top of the pile and further asserted their dominance with a huge win in the south of France.

Playmaker Brodie Croft was hat-trick hero against the Dragons, as the Rhinos scored their first points in Perpignan since 2022.

Finally, it was a memorable day for Toulouse Olympique in St Helens as they inflicted a heavy and shock defeat on Paul Rowley’s side, which was also a record defeat for Saints at the BrewDog Stadium.

Toulouse’s star boy Olly Ashall-Bott produced a stellar showing against the Red V. Whether it was five try assists, nine tackle busts, or 156 metres, he tore Saints’ defence well and truly apart, as he continues to make a name for himself in Super League.

His teammate Mathieu Jussaume joins him in Team of the Week, following his hat-trick of tries. The French workhorse produced 24 tackles and 100 metres.

Paul Ulberg is the third Toulouse player to feature, after a performance of the season from Sylvain Houles' side.
