Catalans Dragons 37-16 Castleford Tigers

Julian Bousquet scored a pair of tries to lead Catalans Dragons to a 37-16 Betfred Super League win over Huddersfield Giants.

Bousquet opened the scoring in the 11th minute charging on to Alrix Da Costa’s pass to score under the posts before Matt Whitley's offload saw Tony Gigot dummy his way over.

Greg Eden collected Paul McShane's kick to get Castleford on the board but Greg Bird and Bousquet scored further tries for the hosts.

Eden got his second in the left corner and Cory Aston pulled the Tigers to 25-16 with 11 minutes remaining.

However, Whitley and Sam Tomkins went over for the hosts to wrap up the victory.

Catalans Dragons head coach Steve McNamara said: "I’m really happy. Really happy with the response from being here just over a week ago against Hull. The deflation and the disappointment of losing that game to bounce back with two good victories. I’ll include London away and then to beat Castleford this afternoon is great. Great response from the players and really, really happy for them.??

Castleford coach Daryl Powell said: "We didn’t start great and we were 12 - 0 down and we were chasing the game from there. We gave ourselves an opportunity scoring just before half time but we were always chasing the game. Catalans deserved to win. I thought we were gutsy today, I thought we worked really hard without coming up with anything.“
